HONG KONG - Scott Hend beat Angelo Que of the Philippines in a playoff to win the Hong Kong Open on Sunday and become the first Australian to win the event since Greg Norman in 1983. Cheap Nike Sb Wholesale .Que and Hend both ended the final round tied on 13-under 267 to force a playoff on the par-four 18th hole of the Fanling Course at the Hong Kong Golf Club.Hend held his nerve to win on the first playoff hole with a par putt from five feet having watched Que bogey after failing to reach the green with his approach shot.I felt quite calm on that playoff. We were wondering how to play that hole because the pin was placed in a tricky position and you can easily make a bogey. It would have been nice to win with a birdie and on a positive note but I will take it, said Hend.It was the biggest win of the 41-year-old Hends career that includes five victories on the Asian Tour. With the tournament being co-sanctioned by the European Tour, it will allow the Florida-based Australian to play next season on the more lucrative tour. This victory is to be treasured, said the delighted Hend as he kissed the trophy won previously by several accomplished players including Tom Watson, Norman, Jose Maria Olzabal, Bernhard Langer, Padraig Harrington, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Rory McIlroy.Hend had begun the day one shot behind sole leader Marcus Fraser of Australia who was on 11 under. With the chasing pack never far behind, neither was able to build much of a lead.Fraser lost his lead immediately when he double-bogeyed the first hole allowing Englands Mark Foster, who had started on nine-under, to grab the lead with two birdies from his first two holes. The lead then changed hands again with Que, who had also started the final round on nine-under, rolling in three birdies on the 12, 13th and 14th to jump to a one shot advantage on 12 under.Hend regained the lead at 13-under before Que pulled off a magnificent approach shot to within a foot of the pin from the edge of the woods lining the 18th fairway that allowed him to birdie the last hole and also go to 13 under. That was the shot of my career. My goal today was to just go under par but this is even better, said Que after carding a 66.He then waited as Hend in the final group came in. The Australian didnt blink and finished his regulation round also on the same score forcing the play-off.Irelands Kevin Phelan finished third on 11 under while Foster was fourth on 10 under.Four-time major winner Ernie Els, struggling with a sore right hip, could only manage two birdies in his final round to end his first appearance at the Hong Kong Open on a disappointing note, tied fifth, after carding a one-under 69 to finish on nine-under 271.It is very disappointing, I didnt play well at all this weekend, said Els who had led by two shots at the halfway mark. Im having trouble with my hip and the lower I go down, the more a nerve or something catches. If I can sort my hip out I have got a game good enough to win a tournament before the end of this year.Els is on a month-long Asian swing and will play at the Macau Open next week before heading to China and Malaysia. My hip has been bothering me for a while and it will not keep me out of playing in the rest of the tournaments. I will bite the bullet and hope an elbow can improve my condition. Maybe I might even do some Chinese acupuncture, Els said. Cheap Wholesale Nike SB Shoes . Seager had another triple, a home run and a double in a rare feat not seen in more than 40 years, leading Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners past the New York Yankees 10-2. Anthony Davis scored a game-high 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting for the Pelicans, who had lost five of six and were on the second of a back-to-back to close out a three-game road trip. Ryan Anderson contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Shaking up the starting lineup wasnt enough to jumpstart the Lakers, who remain near the bottom of the Western Conference standings after yet another convincing defeat. Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer were moved to the bench in favor of Ed Davis and Ronnie Price after a 5-15 start to the season. Davis and Boozer both had 12 points in their new roles while the guards struggled to the tune of three points apiece. Kobe Bryant scored 14 points on 18 shots to pace the Lakers, losers in seven of nine. Wholesale Nik SB Cheap. The Pelicans turned a 10-point halftime lead into a 20-point cushion after a dominant third quarter. Holidays 3 put a stamp on the period and gave New Orleans a 79-59 lead. Alexis Ajinca scored on a hook shot and the newest Pelican, Gal Mekel, had a layup to push the spread to 24 points before a 12-0 Lakers run made it 83-71. Nick Young and Wayne Ellington both scored five during the spurt. But the lead never dipped back into single digits. Austin Rivers ended the flurry with a short bank shot, and Davis scored eight points in the final six minutes of the game to help keep LA at arms length. The Pelicans led 22-16 after one and 50-40 at halftime. Game Notes Six Lakers reached double figures ... Bryant is 63 points shy of passing Michael Jordan for third on the all-time scoring list ... Title-winning Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has collected another prize after being named the winner of the Enzo Bearzot award for the best Italian coach of the season. Ilkay Gundogan Jersey . The award was founded in 2011 to honour the man who coached Italy to World Cup glory in 1982 and died in 2010.And Ranieri has been named the 2016 winner after guiding Leicester, who battled relegation for much of last season, to an improbable Premier League title success. The 64-year-old Ranieri has emerged as one of the most popular figures in British football over the course of the season, his calmness and good humour a constant, despite the pressure of a title race. And the experienced boss flew to Rome on Monday to collect the Bearzot award in person.Honestly, I still havent realized what weve done, said Ranieri. We started off just trying to avoid relegation and you saw what happened. Ranieri has enjoyed an amazing season in charge of Premier League winners Leicester I never met Bearzot but Ive been told by people that they see his spirit in me and that fills me with pride.Italian FA chief Carlo Tavecchio said: Of all the titles won by Italians, Claudios achievement is something unparalleled. He added that he would like to see Ranieri coaching the Italian national team one day.Im talking in an abstract manner, not about the next World Cups, he said. Claudio is young and he has time. In his second sports homeland [England] he still has a lot to achieve. And I dont think it would be easy to deprive him of that opportunity. BALTIMORE -- Bud Norris set his sights on the first complete game of his career until a blister on his pitching hand forced him to exit the game. Antonio Rudiger Jersey . The right-hander, nonetheless, still managed his most dominant performance this season. Norris pitched eight innings of three-hit ball and Adam Jones hit one of the Baltimore Orioles three home runs in a 4-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Monday night. Nick Markakis and Ryan Flaherty also connected for the Orioles. Norris (5-5) struck out six and walked three while matching the longest outing of his career. Coming in, he had given up four or more runs in four of his past five starts. The blister is not expected to affect Norris next outing, but Orioles manager Buck Showalter did not want to take any chances. "Its an awkward spot for me, but Ive got to take care of it the next couple days and I know how to maintain it and so forth," Norris said. So I think it was a precautionary reason. I understand hes the skipper and hes going to make decisions, Im OK with that." Boston has lost six of its past seven games after a season-high seven game winning streak. The Red Sox have been shut out five times this season. Jones had three hits, including his 150th career homer. Markakis extended his hitting streak to 14 games with two hits. "I feel good up there, but the outcome aint going to be there sometimes," Markakis said. "Im seeing the ball well and putting good swings on it. Kind of trying not to change anything. Stick with your same approach, stick with whats working." Boston right-hander Jake Peavy (1-4) allowed four runs and eight hits with seven strikeouts and one walk over seven innings. Peavy has given up three or more runs in seven consecutive starts and hasnt won since April 25 against Toronto. "Take a few pitches back and its a different game," Peavy said. "I dont care about my personal win-loss record. I dont care about any personal numbers at this point. Im pitching to win. I was pitching to win tonight. But we were grinding. Thats a really good lineup." After allowing a leadoff single to Brock Holt in the first, Norris retired 13 consecutive batters. Daniel Nava managed Bostons second hit with a two-out double in the fifth. "As well as Norris was pitching, he stayed out of the middle of the plate and had very good stuff, one run was going to be the difference the way this one turned out," Boston manager John Farrell said. "We couldnt put too much together in any one inning." Jones gave the Orioles a lead in the first with his 10th homer. "Im trying to use the whole field," Jones said. "Im trying to not limit myself to just pulling the ball. Thats how I get in trouble. Just trying to use the whole field. If its in, try to pull it. If its away, try to stay on it. Not rocket science, but some sort of science." Baltimore then increased the lead to 3-0 that same inning when Markakis hit a two-run shot off Peavy onto the flag court. Flahertys solo shot in the seventh provided further cushion. Tommy Hunter, who came off the disabled list Sunday, threw a scoreless ninth. The Orioles improved to 24-9 when scoring four or more runs. Orioles starters have often failed to get deep into games this season. Both Chris Tillman and Ubaldo Jimenez failed to get through the third inning over the past four days. Showalter said arms were available in the bullpen, he lauded Norris for going deep into the game. "Bud was really good," Showalter said. "Id have probably given him a chance to finish that game." NOTES: Showalter said he expects to hear by Tuesday if Manny Machado will be suspended for throwing his bat Sunday against Oakland, igniting a benches-clearing confrontation. Machado apologized for the incident on the team-owned television network. ... Baltimore recalled RHP Josh Stinson from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned RHP Brad Brach to the minor league club. To make room for Stinson on the 40-man roster, LHP Johan Santana was transferred to the 60-day DL. ... Orioles C Matt Wieters (right elbow strain) will be examined by specialist Dr. James Andrews on June 16 in Florida. ... Red Sox LHP Felix Doubront (left shoulder) is scheduled to have a second rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Pawtucket. ... SS Stephen Drew (right oblique soreness) was held out of the lineup Monday and is day to day. ... With a first-inning single, Holt has reached base in 17 of 18 starts as the leadoff hitter. Marcos Alonso Jersey . The Eastern Conference-leading Celtics finished their recent trek at 3-1 on Monday in Salt Lake City when Rajon Rondo made a key jumper with 24.1 seconds remaining, as Boston held off the Utah Jazz, 107-102, at EnergySolutions Arena. SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres think so much of second baseman Jedd Gyorko that they gave him a hefty raise and hes only 13 games into his second full big league season. Balenciaga Outlet Italia . Gyorkos agreement, announced Monday, is a six-year deal that adds $35 million over five seasons through 2019. It replaces a one-year deal agreed to last month and includes a team option for 2020. San Diego essentially buys out one year of free agency and possibly two. "These contracts make a lot of sense for both sides," general manager Josh Byrnes said. "In this case we potentially buy out two years of free agency. Its rare to do it so early, but Jedd, I think, he answered all the criteria you look at. First of all, character. This guy is a baseball player. I think hes going to be a part of us establishing the kind of winning tradition we want to have here. Hes always hit and hes handled things that have been thrown at him." Gyorko proved himself with a big rookie season, hitting .249 with 23 home runs and 63 RBIs. "I wanted to be a Padre," Gyorko said. "When they came to me and kind of showed the vision of what they have looking forward, its something I want to be a part of. Be a part of a championship team. I think thats what were going to be, hopefully soon, if not, definitely by the end of my contract." Gyorkos previous deal called for $510,900 this year in the major leagues and $294,000 in the minors. The new contract eliminates the lower minor league pay and adds salaries of $2 million in 2015, $4 million in 2016, $6 million in 2017, $9 million in 2018 and $13 million in 2019. San Diegos 2020 club option is at $13 million with a $1 million buyout. The option can escalate a maximum of $2 million, and the buyout can escalate by up to $750,000, based on All-Star appearances and Top 10 MVP finishes by Gyorko between 2014 and 2019. He also gets a suite on the road. "Its good to have the possibility and potential to pencil Jedd into the lineup for a long time," manager Bud Black said. Gyorko, 25, was a second-round pick out of West Virginia in the 2010 amateur draft. While the Padres like Gyorko at second base, he played third base in the minor leagues and could move back to that position if Chase Headley leaves via free agency at the end of the season. Gyorko said hell play wherever the team wants him. "I think he adjusted very well and people didnt realize how good hed be there, so now its a matter of maintaining that level," Byrnes said. "You never know how our rosters going to shape up. We like him at second base. We like the competitive advantage of a second baseman who gives us this much offence. That was part of the attraction on the front end, and for now, Id say thats the way we want it to end up as we go through the contract." "Its a big commitment, but I think Jedd is worth it," Byrnes said. "When you place it through the age 30, 31 view, its a risk we felt was worth taking." The deal was negotiated by agents Sam and Seth Levinson. AP Sports Writer Ronald Blum in New York contributed to this report. Scarpe Balenciaga Uomo Offerta . The result was a game-winning, power-play goal. Chiasson snapped a third-period tie and lifted the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory on Monday night. Scarpe Balenciaga Outlet . -- Theres nothing like winning to bring hope for a struggling team. http://www.balenciagaoutlet.it/ . Fielder ended 4-for-5 with a solo homer, while Avila was 4-for-4 with two runs scored for the Tigers, who put the brakes on a three-game skid and rebounded from a loss in Mondays opener. Victor Martinez and Austin Jackson both contributed two hits, an RBI and a run scored as Detroit maintained its healthy lead atop the AL Central.Notes on Phil Kessel, Nazek Kadri, Nathan MacKinnon, Thomas Vanek, Raphael Diaz and more in Scott Cullens latest blog. 1. While the Toronto Maple Leafs were on on a nice run, 9-1-1 in their previous 11 games, prior to Tuesdays 4-1 loss in Florida and a couple of their most skilled forwards have been at the forefront of the Maple Leafs charge. In the past 13 games, during which he has recorded points in 11, Kessel has 10 goals and 13 assists. He ranks second in the league with 30 goals and fifth with 61 points. The thing about Kessels hot streak is that hes not even generating as many shots as he typically does -- 3.39 per game over the past dozen, 3.79 per game for the season -- so hes on a pretty good run with percentages, and currently has the second-best shooting percentage (13.6%) of his career. While those percentages may be higher than normal, its hardly unusual for Kessel to score goals. Since the start of the 2008-2009 season, he ranks fifth in the NHL in goals, behind Alex Ovechkin, Steven Stamkos, Corey Perry and Patrick Marleau. Also, not surprisingly, Kessel isnt the only Leafs forward on fire. Nazem Kadri has tallied four goals and 11 assists in the past 10 games, doing good work primarily with Joffrey Lupul and Nikolai Kulemin on the Leafs second line. This run has left Kadri with 41 points in 54 games, which is, incidentally, right around the pace of the points projection I had for him in the preseason, when I forecasted 58 points in 76 games. It also turns out that, on a team with disastrous puck possession numbers, Kessel and Kadri have been two of the best at driving play towards the offensive zone. This is relative, of course, but it turns out that the Leafs skilled forwards are the ones leading the way. 2. Predators D Shea Weber has gone on a scoring binge, putting up eight goals and 17 assists in the past 26 games. Percentages are working in Webers favour, as he is scoring on a career-high 11.3% of his shots, while his 2.46 shots per game is his lowest rate since 2006-2007, but Weber leads defencemen with 15 goals and is tied for fifth among blueliners with 38 points. Webers 0.70 points per game is a career-best. Considering that Weber does this while facing the oppositions best lines, night after night, hes forcing his way into Norris Trophy consideration again. 3. Januarys Rookie of the Month was Tampa Bay Lightning LW Ondrej Palat, who scored 16 points (5 G, 11 A) in 15 games in January. Palat was a seventh-round pick in 2011, after scoring 96 points in 61 games with Drummondville of the QMJHL as a 19-year-old. Its pretty serious draft value to secure a player who can play top-six forward minutes two seasons later. Following his impressive January, Palat played a career-high 23:00 against Montreal on February 1. Palat and fellow rookie C Tyler Johnson have been thriving on a line with veteran RW Martin St. Louis, a situation that figures to change soon when Steven Stamkos returns to the lineup, and Palat has been benefitting from strong percentages at both ends of the rink, but even if his role changes, Palat has established that he can be a contributing part of the Tampa Bay attack. 4. Palat may have been the rookie of the month, but the current frontrunner for Rookie of the Year sure appears to be Avalanche C Nathan MacKinnon, the first overall pick in last summers draft. MacKinnon was eased into the NHL, playing 14:33 per game in October, scoring a goal and seven points in 11 games, but hes been up over 17 minutes per game since, tallying 19 goals and 16 assists in 45 games since the beginning of November. MacKinnons possession numbers still have room to improve, but hes 18-year-old and already emerging as an offensive force. 5. The top scorer for the past two seasons with the Florida Panthers, LW Tomas Fleischmann has fallen on hard time this year. Hes gone 20 games without a goal, registering just five assists since he last lit the lamp on December 17. Fleischmann has been shuffled around the lineup, playing at times with C Nick Bjugstad and one of Jonathan Huberdeau and Scottie Upshall on the wing, though Fleischmann has most recently found himself skating with Marcel Goc and Tomas Kopecky, not exactly recipe to get his offensive game back. At 29-years-old and under contract throught next season, at $4.5-million, Fleischmann might be better in a new location, but its not easy to get a team to take on that salary for a player with five goals in 54 games, even when hes scoring on a career-low 3.8% of his shots. 6. Canadiens C Lars Eller got off to a strong start this season, scoring nine points in the first dozen games, putting to rest any fears of lingering effects after suffering a concussion in last years playoffs, but hes been crashing since. Eller has 12 points (5 G, 7 A) in 45 games since and his ice time has steadily decreased. Ellers assist against Calgary Tuesday ended a 15-game scoreless drought, and he played 12:04, his second-lowest ice time of the season. 7. The Los Angeles Kings are having an incredibly difficult time scoring goals, yet made the decision to demote winger Tyler Toffoli to the AHL, even though he was the teams top point producer per minute of play at even strength. But, necessity being the mother of invention, Toffoli has since been recalled and has found his way to the top line with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter. Toffoli had two points against Chicago Monday, and Saturday he had a season-high six shots on goal while playing 18:42, his most since opening night. Its one thing for a contender to want a young player to round out his game or play more soundly, but Toffoli has strong possession stats, strong enough that the Kings need to see whether he can be part of the solution to their goal-scoring woes. 8. Lasst season, Blues RW Chris Stewart was his teams leading scorer, with 36 points in 48 games. Balenciaga Scarpe Outlet. This year, hes playing 14:37 per game, his lowest since his rookie season, and finding his name in trade rumours. The Blues have terrific depth and the emergence of younger scorers Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko could make it easier to part with a player who, even with relatively poor possession stats this season, ranks 35th with 104 goals scored since 2009-2010. 9. Islanders LW Thomas Vanek has made it clear that he intends to test the free agent market on July 1, which assures that he will be traded before the deadline, potentially even before the Olympic Break if the right deal comes along. Any team could use a scoring winger with Vaneks credentials, but his salary could complicate matters somewhat for teams that are pushing up against the salary cap. Dealing for Vanek is complicated because he intends to test the free agent market July 1, which is entirely fine, but there has long been suspicion that his preferred destination could be Minnesota, which could make him nothing more than a rental (which is also fine) for whichever team acquires him this season. While the Islanders might want a lot, having surrendered Matt Moulson a first and second-round pick to get Vanek, it may be a lot to expect three assets of similar value for the last quarter of the season plus playoffs. Here are some teams that might be able to provide a package that will suit the Islanders as they attempt to replenish the franchises talent base. Pittsburgh - With all due respect to Brian Gibbons or, potentially, a healthy Beau Bennett, the Penguins could use a top-tier winger to play with Sidney Crosby. The Penguins have some prospect depth on the blueline, with D Simon Despres, D Derrick Pouliot, RW Jayson Megna some potentially moveable parts. The bigger challenge for Pittsburgh could be finding a way to fit Vanek under the salary cap. Los Angeles - If any team needs scoring help, the Kings would fit and putting Vanek on the wing with Anze Kopitar and Jeff Carter would be interesting. Presuming that the Kings wouldnt be inclined to move Toffoli for a rental, then prospects like Linden Vey, Tanner Pearson and Derek Forbort could be part of the package. Anaheim - The Ducks have had plenty of success as is, but Vanek would be an upgrade to the left wing spot on the number one line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, a spot that has seen Dustin Penner, Patrick Maroon, Kyle Palmieri, Matt Beleskey and Jakob Silfverberg rotate through this season. The Ducks have plenty of prospects, including some of the aforementioned young forwards along wiht C Rickard Rakell, RW Emerson Etem and LW Devante Smith-Pelly, a couple of which could form the nucleus for a Vanek deal. Minnesota - There is some presumption that the Wild would be Vaneks eventual landing spot, the question is whether or not the Wild would be prepared to offer prospects to acquire Vanek now when they might have the inside track to get him on July 1. It would also be easier to make that move once winger Dany Heatleys $7.5-million comes off the cap. Montreal - Goal-scoring, and general puck possession, has been an issue for the Canadiens and there would certainly be room to include Vanek on Montreals top line. Some combination of picks and prospects including forwards Sven Andrighetto, Tim Bozon, Mike McCarron, Louis LeBlanc and Christian Thomas could get discussions started. Ottawa - There has been plenty of talk of the Senators adding scoring help for Jason Spezza, and while they dont appear to be inclined to add salary, maybe taking a rental like Vanek (or Matt Moulson or Mike Cammalleri) would be feasible. The Senators have all sorts of options, from relatively inexperienced NHLers like Colin Greening and Patrick Wiercioch, to wing prospects Shane Prince, Matt Puempel and Andre Petersson. 10. The Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks made a deal this week, with the Canadiens sending D Raphael Diaz to the Canucks for fourth-line LW Dale Wiese. While Diaz isnt a dominant defender, hes a capable puck-mover who has averaged nearly 20 minutes per game in 129 career NHL games (he played 25:26 in his Canucks debut at Boston). With the Canucks missing Kevin Bieksa, Chris Tanev and Dan Hamhuis due to injuries, Diaz fills an immediate hole but, long-term, can be a useful third-pair defenceman who can play the power play. Hell be an unrestricted free agent at seasons end. Weise is a fourth-line winger who will be a restricted free agent in the summer. He has 26 points and 185 penalty minutes in 163 career games and has been consistently beaten in terms of puck possession. Basically, hes a fourth-line forward who is as replaceable as most other fourth line forwards. FIRST NHL GAMES Greg McKegg, C, Toronto - A third-round pick in 2010, McKegg had started to pick up offensively, scoring 16 points in 15 games prior to his call-up, but he only saw 4:$3 in his NHL debut before getting returned to the AHL. Simon Moser, C, Nashville - 24-year-old Swiss forward had 25 points in 40 AHL games and played more than 10 minutes, alongside Colin Wilson and Taylor Beck, in his NHL debut. Colton Sissons, C, Nashville - A second-round pick in 2012, Sissons had 16 goals and 28 points in 42 AHL games to earn his promotion, and has spent most of his first three games skating with Paul Gaustad and Rich Clune, contributing one assist while playing under nine minutes a game. DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings agreed to a three-year contract Wednesday with coach Jeff Blashill to lead their American Hockey League team. Everson Griffen Jersey . Red Wings coach Ken Holland says hes excited to keep one of the young coaches in hockey. If Mike Babcock does not keep coaching the Red Wings after his contract expires following next season, the Red Wings can potentially promote Blashill to lead their NHL franchise. The 40-year-old Blashill was the AHL coach of the year last season. He was one of Babcocks assistants for one year before moving on to lead the Grand Rapids, Michigan, Griffins the past two seasons. The Griffins won the AHL championship last year for the first time and lost in the second round of the playoffs this year. Kyle Rudolph Jersey . -- Dane Fox scored his 61st and 62nd goals of the season and Brendan Gaunce had a goal and three assists as the Erie Otters downed the Kitchener Rangers 7-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action. Kirk Cousins Jersey . Yoenis Cespedes proved he can play through a hurting right heel, giving Scott Kazmir and the As a spark with a pair of RBIs that helped spoil the Minnesota Twins home opener with an 8-3 victory on Monday. http://www.vikingsauthenticshop.com/Viki...ft-Jersey/ . In the days leading up to the draft, TSN.ca and TSN Radio basketball analyst Duane Watson looks at some of the names that will be headlining the event. Watch the 2014 NBA Draft on TSN, Thursday at 7pm et/4pm pt.For those that follow my Twitter feed, you might be aware that I was in Dallas on the weekend, my first time seeing a game at the new Cowboys, er, AT & T Stadium. I had seen a game in the old stadium, and as a kid who grew up on the Doomsday Defence and Tony Dorsett, that was pretty cool. The new stadium is something else. It is a complete monument to excess and I dont mean that in a bad way. Its loud and huge and everything I would expect about football in Texas, where high school teams play in 20,000-seat stadiums. Ive been to a decent number of NFL and college football games, nearly all in the Northeast and Midwest, so the Texas experience is different. Having been to Notre Dame half a dozen times, I was sure that the marriage of sports fanaticism and religion made the Notre Dame bookstore a premier juggernaut on game day, with massive lines for merchandise. In Dallas, it was at a whole new level, with massive lines of people all waiting for the privilege of buying merchandise from the 18 cash registers that were open in the one store I happened to enter. There are many reasons that the Cowboys are the most valuable NFL franchise, but the merchandising of the silver star is part of it and the fanaticism Texans have for football feeds that machine. As for the game itself, the Cowboys were so much better than the Rams on Sunday, it wasnt even a contest. The 31-7 final score didnt do justice to the mismatch, which only made the celebrating louder and bigger and completely over the top -- just what I expected from a football game in Big D. On to this weeks 50 points, a look back at Week Three of the NFL season, Peyton Manning brilliance, Jimmy Graham a cut above, Bilal Powell makes his mark and unstoppable Julio Jones. 1. The only other time Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (203 YDS, 1 TD, 29 touches) had played the St. Louis Rams, he rushed for 253 yards on 25 carries in 2011. Murray had an easy time of it against the Rams run defence, a group that had surrendered 36 yards on 16 carries against the Falcons in Week Two. 2. Broncos QB Peyton Manning (32-for-37, 374 YDS, 3 TD) shredded the Raiders defence and Broncos WR Eric Decker (8 REC, 133 YDS, 1 TD, 8 targets) was the big winner, but virtually every option works in the Denver passing game. 3. WR Demaryius Thomas (10 REC, 94 YDS, 11 targets), WR Wes Welker (7 REC, 84 YDS, 1 TD, 8 targets) and TE Julius Thomas (3 REC, 37 YDS, 1 TD, 4 targets) were all involved for the Broncos. 4. Jets RB Bilal Powell (158 YDS, 29 touches) torched the Bills defence, which isnt altogether surprising. Jacksonville (507) is the only team to surrender more rushing yards than Buffalos 465. 5. Saints TE Jimmy Graham has 19 catches for 313 yards in the last two weeks, more yardage than any other tight end has put up through three games this season. 6. Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams (120 YDS, 23 carries) quietly ranks third among all runners with 291 rushing yards through the first three weeks, behind only LeSean McCoy (395) and Doug Martin (297). 7. Falcons WR Julio Jones (9 REC, 115 YDS, 12 targets) keeps rolling and leads the league with 373 receiving yards, ahead of Philadelphia WR DeSean Jackson (359) who had a modest 62 yards receiving in Thursday nights loss to Kansas City. So long as Roddy White is an after-thought, playing with a high ankle sprain, Jones is clearly the Falcons best option. 8. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (26-for-41, 406 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT) put up big numbers in another Steelers loss, this time incorporating WR Antonio Brown (9 REC, 196 YDS, 2 TD, 13 targets) into the offence. Brown has not been pleased with his use in Todd Haleys offence, so he at least got the ball, even if it didnt have much bearing on the final outcome. 9. Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (158 YDS, 1 TD, 20 carries) is averaging 6.4 yards per carry, best among running backs with at least 40 carries. Alfred Morris (5.6) ranks second. 10. Another dud game for 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (13-for-27, 150 YDS, 0 TD, 1 INT) leaves the 49ers with a lot of questions. At his best, Kaepernick makes the game look easy because he can outrun mistakes and, as he showed in Week One, is a capable passer. But hes passed for a Tebow-esque 277 yards in the last two weeks and no amount of running is going to make up for that lack of efficiency through the air. 11. Packers RB James Starks had such a great effort in relief of an injured Eddie Lacy in Week Two, but left Sundays game with 55 yards on 14 carries after suffering a knee injury. That led to rookie Jonathan Franklin (126 YDS, 16 touches) delivering a big game, albeit one in which his fourth-quarter fumble was returned for the game-winning score. With the Packers on a bye in Week Four, there is a better chance for their backfield to be healthy and now it appears that they have a few legitimate options as ball carriers. 12. Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (172 YDS, 1 TD, 27 touches) ranks third in yards from scrimmage, among running backs, with 375, behind LeSean McCoy (514) and DeMarco Murray (402). 13. Bengals RB Gio Bernard (99 YDS, 1 TD, 14 touches) continues to take more of the action in the Cincinnati backfield, pulling ahead of BenJarvus Green-Ellis (29 YDS, 1 TD, 10 carries, one fumble). 14. Before suffering a broken arm in a car accident Monday night, Lions WR Nate Burleson (6 REC, 116 YDS, 9 targets) joined Calvin Johnson (7 REC, 115 YDS, 1 TD, 13 targets) with big receiving days against Washington. 15. Burleson leads all wide receivers with receptions on 82.6% of the passes sent his way and now that hes out, Ryan Broyles becomes more appealing in the Lions offence. 16. Titans QB Jake Locker (23-for-37, 299 YDS, 1 TD; 68 YDS, 5 carries) had the third-most passing yards of his career in the win over San Diego, with veteran WR Nate Washington (8 REC, 131 YDS) having the big game. Enigmatic WR Kenny Britt had zero catches on five targets so, thanks for that. 17. Browns QB Brian Hoyer (30-for-54, 321 YDS, 3 TD, 3 INT) had a roller-coaster of a day in his first start for Cleveland, ultimately earning a road win. 18. Back from suspension, WR Josh Gordon (10 REC, 146 YDS, 1 TD) was a beast and TE Jordan Cameron (6 REC, 66 YDS, 3 TD) continued his stellar play. Cameron ranks second among tight ends, behind only the Saints Jimmy Graham, with 269 receiving yards this season. 19. Patriots rookie wide receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins were better against Tampa Bay. Dobson (7 REC, 52 YDS, 10 targets) was still QB Tom Bradys most targeted receiver. Thompkins had three catches for 41 yards, including two touchdowns, on seven targets. 20. Bills rookie WR Robert Woods (2 REC, 35 YDS, 10 targets) had a tough day against the Jets. Among receivers targeted at least 15 times through three weeks, Woods 38.9% receiving percentage ranks fifth-worst, ahead of Riley Cooper (37.5%), Greg Little (36.7%), Kenbrell Thompkins (32.1%) and Kenny Britt (31.3%). 21. Having traded Trent Richardson to the Colts last week, the Browns signed RB Willis McGahee (9 YDS, 8 carries) and got minimal production in his first game. Chris Ogbonnaya and Bobby Rainey are looking for touches in that Cleveland backfield too, but McGahee seems the best bet of a bad lot for now. Sheldon Richardson Jersey. 22. Patriots RB Stevan Ridley (43 YDS, 12 touches) continues to struggle and is opening the door for LeGarrette Blount (65 YDS, 14 carries) and Brandon Bolden (100 YDS, 8 touches), who were both more productive against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Ridley has run for 121 yards (3.4 yards per carry) through three games. 23. Without Mark Ingram, Saints RB Pierre Thomas (67 YDS, 17 touches) got more touches. Darren Sproles (56 YDS, 7 touches) was effective, though he didnt get as many looks. Khiry Robinson led the Saints with 38 yards rushing on four carries, but that was all from the games final drive when the outcome was already decided. 24. Lions QB Matthew Stafford (25-for-42, 385 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT) had a big day against the Washington D, which doesnt count as a surprise. Washington has allowed 999 passing yards in three weeks (ranking 31st), allowing a league-high 9.8 yards per pass attempt. 25. In the absence of an injured Reggie Bush, Lions RB Joique Bell had 132 yards and a touchdown on 24 touches. Bell has been productive enough to warrant fantasy considering with Bush in the lineup so when Bush is out, Bell is a prime option. 26. Washington QB Robert Griffin III continued piling up empty calories (326 YDS passing), though no touchdowns, in Washingtons third straight loss. He ranks third with 975 passing yards this season, so he provides fantasy value, but hes also run for 62 yards in three games (20.7 yards per game), a far cry from the pace of last years 815 rushing yards (50.9 yards per game). 27. Panthers QB Cam Newton (15-for-27, 223 YDS, 3 TD, 1 INT; 45 YDS, 1 TD, 6 carries) didnt put up huge yardage against the Giants, but counting for four touchdowns made him a valuable performer nonetheless. 28. With Ray Rice out, Ravens RB Bernard Pierce (72 YDS, 1 TD, 26 touches) had a pedestrian game, not that it mattered much as the Ravens won easily against Houston. 29. With Steven Jackson out, Falcons RB Jacquizz Rodgers (93 YDS, 20 touches) and Jason Snelling (111 YDS, 15 touches) both had very productive games, even if it ultimately came in a losing effort. 30. Bills RB C.J. Spiller was hurt after 11 yards on 10 touches against the Jets. Fred Jackson (109 YDS, 11 touches) made the most of his opportunity, though Spiller has indicated that he expects to play against the Ravens next week. 31. The Broncos backfield wasnt so Moreno-slanted as it might have appeared after Week Two. Against the Raiders, Ronnie Hillman (78 YDS, 1 TD, 10 touches) and Montee Ball (61 YDS, 11 carries) were at least as productive as Knowshon Moreno (45 YDS, 13 touches). 32. Jets QB Geno Smith (16-for-29, 331 YDS, 2 TD, 2 INT) had a productive game, hitting wide receivers Santonio Holmes (5 REC, 154 YDS, 1 TD, 10 targets) and Stephen Hill (3 REC, 108 YDS, 1 TD) for more than 100 yards. As Smith develops, Jets receivers start to have appeal, especially as bye weeks hit the schedule. 33. In the first week with Trent Richardson in the Colts backfield, RB Ahmad Bradshaw (111 YDS, 1 TD, 22 touches) was still the top back. Richardson scored a touchdown, but 35 yards on 13 carries was nothing special. 34. 49ers RB Frank Gore (103 YDS, 13 touches) didnt get a lot of action against Indianapolis, but was productive enough. Given the state of their passing game, maybe he could have been used more often. 35. Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts (8 REC, 143 YDS, 15 targets) finally went off. Shorts leads the league with 40 targets through three games. 36. Seahawks TE Luke Willson (5 REC, 76 YDS), a Windsor, Ontario native who played at Rice, made his first mark in the Seattle passing game. With a declining Zach Miller ahead of him on the depth chart, Willson has an opportunity to see more action. 37. Chiefs WR Donnie Avery (7 REC, 141 YDS, 7 targets) had a huge game against the Eagles. 38. Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (19-for-28, 281 YDS, 1 TD; 36 YDS, 4 carries) was productive again in a loss for the Raiders and leads the league with 7.6 yards per carry. WR Denarius Moore (6 REC, 124 YDS, 1 TD, 11 targets) was the preferred target for Pryor against Denver Monday night. 39. With mediocre production from starter Ryan Mathews (189 yards from scrimmage in three games), Chargers RB Danny Woodhead (86 YDS, 12 touches vs. Tennessee) is becoming a more valuable contributor. 40. With RB Daryl Richardson out of action for Rams, Isaiah Pead (63 YDS, 13 touches) was the replacement. It looked like a long day for the Rams backfield when the first carry of the day went to WR Tavon Austin, who lined up in the backfield. 41. Steelers running backs Jonathan Dwyer (48 YDS, 13 touches) and Felix Jones (47 YDS, 9 touches) had modestly productive days, but did nothing to dispel the notion that the Steelers need rookie LeVeon Bell to take control of the running game as soon as possible. 42. Julio Jones leads all receivers with 208 yards after catch; DeSean Jackson (161) and Demaryius Thomas (146) are next among wideouts. Joique Bell (163) ranks second overall. 43. There are four receivers with four recorded drops through the first three games: Tavon Austin, Eric Decker, Aaron Dobson and Doug Martin. 44. Julio Jones also has the most catches (27) without recording a drop. 45. Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill leads the league with five fumbles lost. Ben Roethlisberger and RGIII both have four. 46. Robert Griffin III and Terrelle Pryor have both recovered two of their own fumbles, best in the league, but also an indication of favourable bounces from a ball of that shape. 47. The top five quarterbacks in yards after catch are Matthew Stafford (625), Matt Ryan (581), Aaron Rodgers (544), Sam Bradford (526) and Robert Griffin III (508). 48. Among quarterbacks to play in all three games, Cam Newton (184), Terrelle Pryor (192) and Jake Locker (196) have the fewest yards after the catch. 49. Chiefs OLB Justin Houston (4.5 sacks against Philadelphia) now leads the league with 7.5 sacks. Robert Mathis and Mario Williams are tied for second with 4.5 sacks through three weeks. 50. Other big defensive days in Week Three: Bengals OLB Vontaze Burfict (11 tackles), DE Michael Johnson (7 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 PD), Vikings MLB Erin Hendersn (8 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 PD), Buccaneers SS Mark Barron (11 tackles, 1 INT, .5 sack), Cardinals OLB Karlos Dansby (12 tackles, 2 TFL), Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett (3 sacks), Lions DE Ezekiel Ansah (7 tackles, 2 sacks), Panthers DE Greg Hardy (8 tackles, 3 sacks), Ravens ILB Daryl Smith (10 tackles, 1 INT TD), Bills OLB Manny Lawson (14 tackles, 1 TFL), Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson (6 tackles, 2 sacks, 5 QB hits), Jaguars MLB Paul Posluszny (12 tackles, 1 INT, 1 TFL) Scott Cullen can be reached at Scott.Cullen@bellmedia.ca and followed on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tsnscottcullen. GIRONA, Spain -- Miguel Angel Jimenez won the Spanish Open on Sunday after a three-way playoff to become the European Tours first winner over the age of 50. Yeezy Boost 350 Scontate . Jimenez extended his own record as the oldest European Tour winner at 50 years and 133 days old. "There is no secret," Jimenez said. "Good food, good wine, good cigars and some exercise." Jimenez beat Thomas Pieters of Belgium and Australias Richard Green in a playoff after he was the only one to make par on the first extra hole. All three players finished on 4-under 284. It was the Spaniards 21st European Tour win and his second of the season after he won at Hong Kong in December, also following a playoff, at the age of 49 years, 337 days. Pieters led by two shots going into the final round at the PGA Catalunya Resort but only managed a 3-over 75 despite an eagle on No. 15. Jimenez shot a 73, while Green carded 72. It was the first win for Jimenez at the tournament in 27 appearances. "Theres no words to describe what it means to me, you need to be into my skin but Im not going to let you," joked Jimenez. "Its amazing. I have been close a couple of times. Today it was very tough out there but I got it in the end." Yeezy Boost 350 Saldi . Argentina, who have yet to beat New Zealand in 17 meetings, rocked the All Blacks with an early converted try to backrower Juan Manuel Leguizamon and led 7-0 after five minutes. But Smiths double in the 23rd and 26th minutes - when Argentina was reduced to 14 men by the sin-binning of hooker Eusebio Guinazu - turned the tide of the match and set up New Zealands third straight Championship win. Yeezy Boost 350 Italia . Louis Cardinals, the team will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the opening of the SkyDome. Jays legends Jimmy Key and Ernie Whitt, members of playoff and World Series-winning teams of the past, will be on hand for the festivities to look back at what was the beginning of the Jays halcyon years. http://www.yeezy350outlet.it/ . George Hill took care of the early work, scoring a season-high 26 points, and Paul George closed it out by scoring 11 of his 26 points during a decisive second-half stretch that finally allowed Indiana to pull away from Minnesota 98-84 for yet another win.Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Carey Price made 22 saves and picked up his 200th win in his 400th NHL game as the Montreal Canadiens beat the New Jersey Devils 4-2 at Prudential Center. Michael Bournival scored his first two goals of the season and Max Pacioretty added a power-play goal for the Canadiens, who have won five straight and eight of their last nine games. Michael Ryder and Mike Cammalleri had third-period goals for New Jersey, which nearly erased a 3-0 deficit. Yeezy Boost 350 Outlet. CLEVELAND -- The Browns have hired former NFL cornerback Aaron Glenn as an assistant defensive backs coach. Paul Molitor Jersey . Glenn was a first-round draft pick in 1994 by the New York Jets out of Texas A&M. He started 176 games during his career with New York, Houston, Dallas, Jacksonville and New Orleans. Glenn had 41 career interceptions, returning six for touchdowns. First-year Browns coach Mike Pettine says Glenn "fits the mould of what we are looking for to lead our players." This will be Glenns first season as a pro coach. He spent the previous two years in the Jets front office, serving as a college area scout in 2013 after one season as a pro personnel scout. Kevin Pillar Jersey . The 2014 edition will be the ninth meeting between the Caps and Vikes in a tradition that dates back to 2005. "Since the original Whitecaps, the club has enjoyed fantastic support from fans in Victoria and all across Vancouver Island," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. Marcus Stroman Jersey .J. -- New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is going to start the off-season training program with a surgically repaired left ankle. http://www.authenticbluejaysgear.com/blu...is-jersey/ . According to Dave Stubbs of The Montreal Gazette, preliminary talks have begun between Markov - an unrestricted free agent this summer - and general manager Marc Bergevin.(SportsNetwork.com) - A pair of Southeast Division foes will renew their rivalry Monday, as the Washington Wizards battle the Miami Heat at the Verizon Center. The Wizards will be out for revenge of a 107-95 loss in Miami on Oct. 29 and have lost six of the previous eight games in this series. Washington, though, has won two in a row and four of the past five meetings at home and is trying to pass the Heat as the top team in the division. The two rivals will meet again Dec. 19 in Miami and March 15 at Washington. Washington ended a two-game losing streak its last time out in an 83-80 triumph versus the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday in the opener of a four-game homestand. The division-leading Wizards were led by Marcin Gortat, who powered his way to 24 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. Gortat played 41 minutes and was 12-of-20 from the floor. I think my teammates found me a lot. I think I was in the right spots, said Gortat. (I) tried to be productive, tried to be aggressive (and) a little bit more physical. Bradley Beal scored 12 points, John Wall had 11 and seven assists, and Paul Pierce chipped in 10 points, helping the Wizards improve to 10-5 overall and 6-2 at the Verizon Center. Pierce is averaging 15.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in his last six games. In six games since returning from a wrist injury, Beal is averaging 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. The Wizards are averaging 98.4 ppg at home and will also entertain the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Jesse Barfield Jersey. In injury news, forward Nene (foot) is questionable versus the Heat and has missed the last three games. Miami is playing the second game of a back-to-back and defeated the New York Knicks, 86-79, Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. Heat star guard Dwyane Wade returned from a seven-game absence because of a hamstring issue and scored 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting. The Heat went 3-4 without Wade and also received 20 points and nine rebounds from Chris Bosh. Luol Deng rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points and 10 boards. Knicks star Carmelo Anthony returned after a two-game absence because of back spasms and netted 31 points. Wade scored 13 points in the fourth quarter and talked about his role in crunchtime. I understand that in the fourth quarter, Chris (Bosh) and myself are going to be the guys that our team is going to be looking at to bring it home, Wade said. Thats the only quarter that I can really be selfish. New York rallied from 16 points down to pull within 65-63, but Wade and the Heat were able to maintain their lead. Boshs 3-pointer with about a minute left set the Heat up for their fourth win in the last six games. The Heat are playing seven of the next eight games on the road and are 5-2 outside of South Beach this season. They will host Atlanta Wednesday before embarking on a five-game odyssey. Miami is 5-1 this season when scoring 100 or more points and 8-0 when leading after three quarters.   PHILADELPHIA -- The Milwaukee Brewers used a big offence on their way to an undefeate
Geschrieben von: jokergreen0220 - Vor 9 Stunden - Forum: Prinz Albert - Alles rund um den PA ;) - Keine Antworten

PHILADELPHIA -- The Milwaukee Brewers used a big offence on their way to an undefeated road trip. New Balance In Offerta . Carlos Gomez had three hits with an RBI and the Brewers extended their winning to six games with a 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday night. The Brewers wins have all come on the road during the streak. They came to Philadelphia following a three-game sweep at defending World Series champion Boston. "It sure was (impressive)," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said of the trip. "Great pitching, some big hits, bullpens doing a great job. Everythings working. Guys are getting some big hits right now." They battered the Phillies with 25 runs and 38 hits in the three-game sweep. Milwaukee has batted .320 and has outscored opponents 42-18 during the streak. "Were scoring some early and then getting to those late innings and adding on," Roenicke said. Ryan Braun had two hits and an RBI, ending the series 6 for 12 with 10 RBIs while increasing his lifetime total to 24 RBIs in 21 games at Citizens Bank Park. Braun opened the series by homering three times in Tuesdays 10-4 win. Khris Davis had two hits and two RBIs for the Brewers, who return home to host Pittsburgh on Friday night. Milwaukees 6-0 road start is its best since starting the 1987 season 7-0. "It was kind of a whole team effort on this trip and were excited to keep it going," said Jonathan Lucroy, who doubled. Marco Estrada (1-0) allowed two runs and five hits in six innings, striking out six and walking two, to earn the victory. "Not only with our pitching, but with our offence, it was well played overall," Estrada said. "Its the way you want to do it, were hitting, were pitching, its the way we just have to keep doing it. Obviously, its tougher on the road to do, but we did it. It just shows what kind of team we are. Were a pretty good team." Marlon Byrd homered and had two RBIs for the Phillies, who lost their fourth straight. "The good news is they are leaving town," Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said. "Now we have to concentrate on gaining some momentum starting (Friday)." Philadelphias Chase Utley had two hits after returning from a two-game absence because of the flu. Utley batted .458 with two homers and six RBIs in his first six games prior to the illness. Cliff Lee (2-1) struck out eight and walked none, but he also allowed eight hits that resulted in three runs in six innings. Lee has allowed 29 hits in three games. "Theyre a good hitting team and they showed it in the whole series," Lee said. "They flat-out beat us." Byrds shot to left in the second put Philadelphia ahead 1-0. The Brewers took the lead with a pair of runs in the fourth on Aramis Ramirezs RBI double and Davis RBI single. Milwaukee added a run in the sixth on Davis two-out RBI double. Philadelphia responded with a two-out run in the bottom of the sixth when Byrd beat out a chopper to third with the bases loaded. Estrada then got Domonic Brown to fly out to centre to end the bases-loaded threat. Milwaukee added three runs in the seventh. The Brewers got some help when Carlos Ruiz elected to throw to second on pinch-hitter Logan Schafers sacrifice bunt intended to move Rickie Weeks to second. Ruizs throw pulled shortstop Jimmy Rollins off the bag and put runners on first and second with no outs to set up the big inning. Defensive miscues have been a problem all season for Philadelphia, which entered with nine errors in eight games and several plays, such as Ruizs, that havent been ruled errors but have been costly miscues. Gomez singled home Weeks, Jean Segura drove in Estrada and Brauns sacrifice fly scored Gomez. All three runs were charged to righty reliever Jeff Manship, who faced three batters without recording an out. Milwaukee extended its club record of consecutive innings with a hit to 22 innings when Braun singled to right with two outs in the first. Lee retired the Brewers in order in the second, striking out the side, to end the streak. Brown made an excellent diving catch to take a hit away from Scooter Gennett in the ninth. It was the third diving catch off the bat of Gennett in two games. Notes: The victory gave Milwaukee its first sweep of the Phillies in Philadelphia. ... "But I dont know," Triplett said. "I dont know." What Triplett does know is that he matched the defending ACE Group Classic champion for the lead at 10-under 134 after the second round Saturday. Triplett shot a 5-under 67 in windy conditions on TwinEagles Talon Course. Langer, also the 2011 winner and 2012 runner-up, followed his opening 64 with a 70. He won the season-opening event in Hawaii last month for his 19th Champions Tour title. "Hes the ultimate of our Champions Tour sport, right?" Triplett asked. "Hes out there, hes preparing, hes working, hes playing the same way that he played, hes treating this tournament playing like it was the Masters, right and not all guys do that. "A lot of guys do, but not everybody can pull themselves into that mindset week after week." This week, its Tripletts shot. Hes on an impressive streak, going 64 holes without a bogey. "Ive hit some nice shots, Ive hit some poor shots and gotten away with them, so thats going to put you usually pretty close," Triplett said. When Langer was told about Tripletts streak, he said, "Good for him. Triplett has two Champions Tour victories after winning three times on the PGA Tour. "Hes a very good ball-striker and great putter," Langer said. "I was paired with him at Pebble Beach when he won I think last year, so hes certainly a very good player and seasoned competitor. Duffy Waldorf and Olin Browne were 9 under. Waldorf, coming off a playoff loss to Michael Allen last week in Boca Raton in the Allianz Championship, shot 68. Browne had a 71. "A lot of times on the Champions Tour its like this, the scores can be bunched up," Langer said. "Its difficult to separate yourself in two rounds or three rounds and most tournaments are won by one shot or maybe two. "Every shot counts at the end of the week." Colin Montgomerie, playing in his 12th Champions Tour event, was 7 under along with Bob Tway. Montgomerie had a 67, and Tway shot 72. Montgomerie hasnt won an official PGA Tour-sanctioned event on American soil. "I won the World Match Play in Arizona," he said in mock protest. "They paid me a million dollars for winning, I suppose. I got a trophy. I beat Ernie Els in the semifinal, Davis Love in the final. "So I have won. Not a regular PGA Tour event, hows that, so Ill give you that. But Ive been bloody close on a number of occasions."
